HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
Applications and requirements
A "Laurea specialistica" (second class honours degree) or
equivalent degree (4-5 years university) is required, in physics, chemistry,
biotechnology, engineering or other science subjects. Admission is granted
to a maximum of 12 students on a competitive basis. A commission examines
the curricula of the candidates and evaluates their abilities to carry
out research. The aim of the selection is to determine the preparation
and aptitude of the candidate to perform the research activity in relation
to the topics of the doctorate school.

The School awards at least 7 scholarship on a merit basis, two of which
are reserved to candidates from abroad. Each scholarship amounts to
10.500 Euro per year plus School tuition fees. The grant is increased
by 50% for periods spent abroad. For students who do not hold scholarship,
the tuition and registration fee amount to about Euro 1000 per year,
depending on the income. A limited number of accommodations in University
Residence is available at 300 Euro per month.
The number of available scholarships may be increased following any further funding
and will be awarded to candidates without scholarships suitably placed in the ratings
and duly enrolled within the terms and according to the procedures indicated in
the official call.
The number of available scholarships may be increased following subsequent funding
by the Ministry as a result of the "Youth Plan" and will be assigned to candidates
listed in the ratings without scholarships who are duly registered within the terms
and according to the procedures indicated in the official call.
